Restylane® is injected into the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Like many other minimally invasive procedures, Restylane® treatment can be completed in less than an hour and requires minimal downtime. Dr. Ben Light offers Restylane® injections at his practice in Decatur, Alabama to help patients look younger and more refreshed without undergoing facial plastic surgery.
RESTYLANE® TREATMENT
Dr. Light injects Restylane® into the targeted treatment areas using a very thin needle. The procedure can be virtually painless. Restylane® injections contain a compound known as hyaluronic acid that adds hydration and provides volume to the skin. This substance is found naturally in the body, but over time its production begins to decrease and skin begins to wrinkle and sag. Restylane® is injected into the facial tissues beneath wrinkles and lines. As the hyaluronic acid in Restylane® injections causes the tissues to swell with water, wrinkles are smoothed and the skin becomes smoother, fuller, and more youthful-looking.
With Restylane smoother skin and younger-looking facial contours can be achieved by reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and creases. It can also be injected into a patients lips for a more sensual appearance.
