LASER HAIR REMOVAL – HAIR TODAY, GONE TOMORROW

Hair Now, Gone Tomorrow – Laser Hair Removal

Humans have a love/hate relationship with their hair. Thick, healthy hair on one’s head is luxurious. The same hair in the shower drain? Disgusting! A soft fringe of eyelashes: lovely. Soft hair on the tops of toes? No, thanks. Guys rock a five o’clock shadow, but curse hair with the audacity to cover their back. Full eyebrows frame the face, but a full bikini line… well you get the idea.

Laser hair removal is one of the most popular choices for people visiting our office. Most have become discouraged with waxing and shaving and are ready for a more permanent solution. The laser technology owned by Light Facial Plastic Surgery is top of the line and is operated by our laser nurse, Lauren Sharp, RN. She walks patients through the process of eliminating unwanted hair in a professional and private manner. Our hair removal clients appreciate Lauren’s friendly and calm personality as they get to know her during several appointments.

Why multiple appointments? Because hair grows in cycles. Every few weeks a new batch of hair follicles starts to come alive and another treatment is needed to knock out the latest hair growth until the maximum number of hair follicles have been addressed. Obviously, it’s important to persist until the unwanted hair is gone so you can enjoy years of not being bothered by hair you hate.

One really nice benefit of laser hair removal is that it eliminates the entire hair. So if, for example, Lauren treated your underarm hair, you wouldn’t have underarm shadows anymore. That dark underarm look is the result of the dark hair roots showing through light colored skin even right after shaving. Also gone would be those ugly and uncomfortable razor bumps that result from waxing, plucking and shaving.

Botox: Where It Goes & How It Works

Light Facial Plastic Surgery can help you keep the hair you love (we have Latisse to lengthen your lashes, and watch for a future post about a scalp treatment you can add to your Hydrafacial– wow!) and get rid of the hair you hate. It doesn’t matter how much you have or where it’s growing. It can be gone! Call now to explore whether laser hair removal is a good option for you. Most people do their first treatment the same day as their consultation, so mention if you would prefer that when you schedule your initial appointment.
